“Being a mom is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had.”
– Linda Wooten
Where would be without moms? For one, none of us would be where we are today without them. They brought us into the world. They cared for us as we grew up. The may still help care and support us today.
While we all have unique relationships with our moms, it’s a shared experience we all have in that we have someone to call mom. With today being Mother’s Day, it’s an opportunity to appreciate and show gratitude to the moms in our lives who helped to shape and mold us.
We’re especially thankful for the strength that our moms demonstrate in a variety of areas of life. It’s more than the physical strength they show in carrying a baby for nine months. It’s the mental and emotional strength in caring for someone other than themselves and the sacrifice that can be. It’s showing up each day even when tired, fatigued, stressed, and caring for self and others.
Being a strong mom is more than putting a barbell overhead. It’s the care for others, mixed with the care for self day in and day out. It’s learning more and more about what you’re capable of, and then sharing that with others.
We’re grateful for all the strong moms out there today and everyday.
Happy Mother’s Day!
